A pre-race sample was taken from Devastation.
Herb was quick to begin. Kayde and Devastation were slow to begin.
Kayde lost ground in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 12. Kayde was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
