Madam Starface was quick to begin. Crackerjack Cap and Albert's Magic were slow to begin.
Madam Starface raced wide home straight.
Jet Fighter eased approaching the home turn.
Jet Fighter underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr P. Dunlevey regarding Jet Fighter's racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Jet Fighter was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dunlevey pleaded guilty to the charge and Jet Fighter was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
