My Vasiliki was quick to begin. Notorious Belle was slow to begin.
My Vasiliki fell after the finish and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Capital Gain raced ungenerous approaching the winning post, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg shin soreness and a left back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Marcus Lloyd regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After hearing evidence from Mr. Lloyd, viewing all the available race footage and taking into consideration Capital Gain's injuries and the close proximity to the winning post when the incident occurred, Stewards issued a warning to connections.
