Luca's Jebrynah and Soul Taker were quick to begin. Aston Cooper was slow to begin.
Luca's Jebrynah (faltered soon after the start and tailed off as a result), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left gracilis muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from General Winston - the winner of the event.
