Steward's Report
Squiggly Gus, Tinker Mav and Sephora Bale were slow to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Riku – the winner of the event.
Tinker Amina - Lost ground when approaching home turn when in the lead. A post–race veterinary examination found the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the right sartorius muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Craig Burns regarding the greyhounds loss in distance when approaching the home turn after being in the lead. Mr Burns advised the injury best explains the drop back when approaching the home turn and was satisfied with the run home. He added that the greyhound still ran to its expected ability. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr Burns to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Tinker Amina in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
