Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was unable to be obtained from Tamborine Girl, a post–race sample was subsequently taken.
Flying Madeline and Flame To Burn were quick to begin. Lektra Kit and Lektra Olive were slow to begin.
Flying Madeline was severely checked approaching the home turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Tamborine Girl failed to pursue the lure with due commitment in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race seven – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Kevin Finn, the trainer of Tamborine Girl, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Tamborine Girl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Finn pleaded guilty to the charge. Tamborine Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
