Steward's Report
Friday Knock Off – Late scratching at 9.29 with Stewards Permission, (non-penalty) in the best interests of greyhound racing, in accordance with GAR 19(4)(b).
Call Me Thor was slow to begin.
Blazer Edition faltered in the back straight and subsequently tailed off. Blazer Edition underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury and left triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Call Me Thor faltered turning off the back straight and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have multiple fractures to the right hock. Call Me Thor was humanely euthanised.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track turning off the back straight and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
