Stewards spoke to Mrs Lesley Russell, the Representative of Bridget Gem after the greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a seizure. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Bridget Gem is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a satisfactory trial is completed, pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42 (3) Bridget Gem, is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.

Honeycomb was quick to begin. Albert's Magic and Spolly John were slow to begin.

Popyrin was checked turning off the back straight and lost ground, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Lewy Baby and Woodroffe were quick to begin. Black Bow was slow to begin. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Block A Gold on 28/02/23 pursuant to GAR 139.

Calypso Queen was quick to begin.

Block A Gold faltered turning off the back straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right long head triceps muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Waves Crashing was quick to begin. Gypsy Ha Ha was slow to begin. 

Pursuant to GAR 75(6) Judge, Ms Wendy Collins did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.

You're In Luck – The frequency of racing was discussed with Mr Phillip Repici, the comments were noted.

Bye Georgie was quick to begin. Savvy Bee Chaser, Molly Supreme, Crew and Prince Of Egypt were slow to begin. 

Crew lost ground over the concluding stages, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right tarsal sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race sample was taken from Bye Georgie - the winner of the event.

Funky Felix and Super Sparkle were slow to begin. 

Sonic Sammy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the cervico-thoracic and right shin. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Darrell Saunders regarding Sonic Sammy's racing manners on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr. Saunders, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

A post-race sample was taken from After Hours - the winner of the event.

My Girl Daisy underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.

Winter Storm and Dr. Valor were slow to begin. 

Friday Knock Off – Late scratching at 9.29 with Stewards Permission, (non-penalty) in the best interests of greyhound racing, in accordance with GAR 19(4)(b). 

Call Me Thor was slow to begin. 

Blazer Edition faltered in the back straight and subsequently tailed off. Blazer Edition underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury and left triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Call Me Thor faltered turning off the back straight and subsequently tailed off, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have multiple fractures to the right hock. Call Me Thor was humanely euthanised.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track turning off the back straight and deemed it satisfactory for racing.

A pre-race sample was taken from Scooby Goes Bang.

Mt. View Bee and Head Bin were slow to begin.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 15 minutes due to issues with the operation of two track lighting towers in the back straight. One track lighting tower was re-engaged and stewards were satisfied that the track was satisfactory for racing. This event was re-scheduled to 6:08pm.

Variation and Another Dale were slow to begin.
