Steward's Report
Hot Cross – Late scratching at 13.54 when Mr. Joe Uglietta reported the greyhound to have an injured fibula (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted
Simply Savage – New declared weight of 31.4kg, last raced at 29.7kg.
Fur Real Zeal and Aldren Bale were slow to begin.
Aldren Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer - Mrs. C. Roberts, regarding the racing manners of Aldren Bale in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aldren Bale was charged with marring. Mrs. C. Roberts pleaded guilty to the charge. Aldren Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted
