Steward's Report
Cookie Crumble and Forward Step were slow to begin.
Image Of Dad - visibly eased and turned its head to the outside - underwent a post–race veterinary examination - No apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Geoff Smith regarding Image Of Dad’s racing manners at the 125 metre mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Image of Dad was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Smith pled guilty to the charge, Image Of Dad was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted
Forward Step - visibly eased and turned its head to the outside - underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind nail injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Joe Uglietta regarding Forward Step's racing manners at the 100 metre mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Forward Step was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment ( by reason of injury ) Mr. Uglietta pled guilty to the charge, was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Neil Lavelle regarding the racing manners of She Is Spoilt approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Lavelle, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
Mr. Neil Lavelle failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare She Is Spoilt for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
