Steward's Report
Devon Lass was quick to begin.
A post–race sample was taken from Devon Lass – the winner of the event.
Big Buddha lost ground in the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg tarsal sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Tony Cortese regarding Big Buddha's overall performance in the event. In accordance with GAR 122, the Stewards requested Mr. Cortese to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Big Buddha in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
There was no head-on vision available in the back straight for this event.
