Neil's Phoenix – Late scratching at 4:37 pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Nathan Jenner was fined $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Myall Hiker.
Blue Sky Boy and Crackerjack Jet were quick to begin. Myall Hiker and Mister Banjo were slow to begin.
Myall Hiker raced wide in the home straight.
Crackerjack Jet underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 5 day stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards spoke to Jordan Cooper, the trainer of Crackerjack Jet and advised him that the greyhound would be closely monitored in future starts.
