Steward's Report
Just Ducal and Allen Wake were slow to begin. Matlin's Tornado, Supersonic Hawk, Allen Wake, Galloping Rocky and Paris Sparks collided on the first turn checking Matlin's Tornado, Supersonic Hawk and Allen Wake. Matlin's Tornado and Supersonic Hawk collided on the second turn. Allen Wake crossed to the rail in the front straight. Matlin's Tornado and Supersonic Hawk collided on the fifth turn.
Stewards noted that there was no designated catcher for the greyhound, Supersonic Hawk. After an investigation of the matter, Stewards charged Ms. C. Brinsley pursuant to GAR 86(o), in that she did fail to catch the greyhound, which in the opinion of stewards was negligent. Ms. Brinsley pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty. Stewards issued a $200 fine to Ms. Brinsley, which was inclusive of a previously suspended fine for a similar offence at The Meadows on 6th August 2014.
Enchanted Bling was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it''s right thigh and grazing to it's right front toe. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
