He's Schmick, Southwood Pluto, Cattogio and Pedro's Twist collided on the first turn, checking He's Schmick, Arizona Showman and Classique and causing Southwood Pluto and Cattogio to fall. Southern Blaze raced wide in the home straight.
Cattogio was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right rump, pencil, hamstring, back digits, left and right quadriceps, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Southwood Pluto was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right distal humerus fracture and was humanely euthanised.
