Kilcolegan Cross was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left shoulder.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr. D. Fleming, trainer of Bush Caviar, redeclared a new weight of 34.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bush Caviar last raced at 33.3kg.

Bush Caviar and Almost Human collided soon after the start.  Almost Human and Dixon Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Bush Caviar and Molly's Silver collided on the first turn checking Molly's Silver.  Jayney Bale and High Class collided on the first turn checking Jayney Bale which contacted the running rail as a result.  Bush Caviar and Ice Cossack collided approaching the home turn checking Ice Cossack, Bush Caviar, Irish Asteria and Dixon Bale; Dixon Bale  raced wide, faltered and tailed off as a result.  High Class, Molly's Silver and Ice Cossack collided approaching the home turn checking High Class and Molly's Silver.  Jayney Bale and Bush Caviar raced wide on the home turn.  Almost Human eased in the home straight.

Jayney Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazing on it's head.  No stand down period was imposed.

Bush Caviar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's right monkey muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Almost Human was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  A re-vet was declined.

Stewards spoke to Mr.F. Kadir, the representative of the greyhound Almost Human.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Almost Human with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days (Geelong) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dixon Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained fractured right metacarpals (2&3).  A 30 day stand down period was imposed.
