S. Kruckel, trainer of  Environmentalist redeclared a new weight of  29.2 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Environmentalist last raced at 27.9 kg.   

There was a short delay to the start of the event to remove a moth from box 7. 

Environmentalist and Counterfeiter were slow to begin.

Environmentalist and Ima Lonely Boy collided soon after the start checking Environmentalist. Slipaway Anna and Environmentalist collided on the first turn, Environmentalist contacted the running rail as a result. Counterfeiter and Futurist collided approaching the first turn. 

Environmentalist was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Gimme A Spell and Relius Bale were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Dee Bee Gold checked off Mr. Fox approaching the first turn. Dee Bee Gold checked off Osteria Mozza on the first turn. Unbound, Relius Bale, Gimme Butterflys and Gimme A Spell collided on the first turn checking Gimme Butterflys and Gimme A Spell. Mr. Fox and Relius Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Mr. Fox. Relius Bale checked off Unbound approaching the home turn. 

Molly Michelle was slow to begin.

Slipaway Kessa, Dyna Glinda, Miss Shirleen, Wattle Grove and Peter Pettigrew collided soon after the start checking Peter Pettigrew, Wattle Grove, Dyna Glinda and Miss Shirleen. Molly Michelle and Acola Rosebud collided in the back straight checking Acola Rosebud. Peter Pettigrew checked off Miss Shirleen on the second turn. Belfort checked off Coopnarcha approaching the home turn. Coopnarcha checked off Highbury in the home straight. Mr. Pipeline checked off Classy Flyer in the home straight. 

Essentially was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grazed left hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.

Soho Rhythm and Ema's Princess collided on the first turn checking Ema's Princess. Oxley Major checked off Zell Bale on the first turn severely checking Oxley Major which stumbled as a result. Stylish Shazz and Oxley Major collided entering the back straight checking Oxley Major. Rumero Reason and Rockin' Josie collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

S. Payne, trainer of Cosmay Bale redeclared a new weight of 26.8 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Cosmay Bale last raced at 25.6 kg.

Effie Trinkett, Southwood Pluto and Some Nights collided soon after the start checking Southwood Pluto and Casmay Bale. Slambam crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Key Largo Prince. Prince Baling galloped on the heels of Key Largo Prince approaching the home turn checking Southwood Pluto, Key Largo Prince, Prince Baling and Casmay Bale. Slambam and Effie Trinkett collided approaching the home turn checking Effie Trinkett. Prince Baling and Key Largo Prince collided in the home straight.

Casmay Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left stopper. No stand down period was imposed. 

Gravitation went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin as a result. 

Ifrit Bale, Zed's Birthday and Paramount Thunda collided soon after the start checking Zed's Birthday. Paramount Thunda galloped on the heels of Zed's Birthday approaching the first turn severely checking Zed's Birthday. 

Paramount Thunda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Memphis Lee was a late scratching at 2.53p.m. due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Lovely Lizzie was quick to begin. In Tune Torana was slow to begin.
