A pre-race sample was taken from Pure Glory.
Zander's Express and Here Comes Alex were slow to begin. Prince Lark, Here Comes Alex and Zander's Express collided soon after the start checking Brass Knocka, Prince Lark and Izzy Reg. Pure Glory and Izzy Reg collided at the 300 metre mark. Here Comes Alex checked off Zander's Express at the 300 metre mark. Izzy Reg and Prince Lark collided several times from the 250 metre mark to the 150 metre mark. Izzy Reg checked off Prince Lark at the 150 metre mark. Rockem Woody and Naughty And Nice collided approaching the winning post checking Naughty And Nice. Izzy Reg lost ground in the conlcuding stages of the event. Brass Knocka raced wide throughout the event.
Izzy Reg was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
