Perfect Causeway was quick to begin. Bonnie's Revenge was slow to begin. Riverside Billie, Black Cadel, Where's Red and Zafonic Zjahdi collided soon after the start checking Black Cadel and Where's Red. Black Cadel checked off Spectrum on the first turn checking Where's Red. Where's Heather checked off Perfect Causeway approaching the home turn checking Zafonic Zjahdi and Riverside Billie. Zafonic Zjahdi, Spectrum and Black Cadel collided on the home turn checking Where's Red. Where's Red and Spectrum collided entering the home straight. Zafonic Zjahdi lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.
Zafonic Zjahdi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder and the right thigh, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
