On The Cusp– The frequency of racing was discussed with trainer Mr G. Mcmillan, the comments were noted.
A pre–race sample was taken from Please Thanks.
Dr. Ripley was slow to begin.
Please Thanks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right thigh. A 5 day stand down period was issued. Stewards spoke to Kennel Representative, Ms Kayla Thorburn regarding Please Thanks racing manners approaching the turn out of the back straight and rounding the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Please Thanks was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Thorburn pled guilty to the charge. Please Thanks must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
