Mt. View Betty underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left chest injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Kennel Representative, Mrs. Sharlene Whitford regarding Mt. View Betty's racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Mt. View Betty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Whitford pled not guilty to the charge, Mt. VIew Betty was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Minter Dominate.
Golden Skyrocket and Minter Dominate were quick to begin. Dr. Brooklynn and Retro Rocket were slow to begin.
Golden Skyrocket faltered and lost ground in the back straight, then was severely checked and lost considerable ground when approaching the turn out of the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg back injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
