Steward's Report
This event was rescheduled to start at 5.47pm from the advertised starting time due to Sky Channel programming.
An out of competition sample was taken from Dr. Dulcie on 30 November, 2022 pursuant to GAR 139.
Star's Hope was a late scratching at 2.39pm by Order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At Inquiry, the Stewards issued a charge under GAR 86 to Mr. K. Quinn, for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr. K. Quinn pled guilty to the charge and was fined $250. The 28-day stand-down on Star's Hope was revoked.
Blue Cherry Miss was quick to begin.
Dr. Dulcie underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a tarsal sprain (hock) and gracilis muscle injury to both right and left hindleg.. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn regarding Dr. Dulcie's racing manners approacjing the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Dr. Dulcie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. K. Quinn pled guilty to the charge, Dr. Dulcie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
