A pre–race sample was taken from Barista Chick.
Barista Chick was quick to begin. Panama Dash and Internal Affairs were slow to begin.
Targod Shirley marred Smoke Show in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Justin Bowman regarding Targod Shirley’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Targod Shirley was charged with marring. Mr Bowman pled guilty to the charge, Targod Shirley was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
