Golden Coast – Late scratching at 2:07pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Christian Wilk was fined $100.
Catch The Outlaw stumbled approaching the 100m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Zar Zar Bing underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left hind metatarsals. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Inter Punch turned its head to the outside and visibly eased entering the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated front right toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr P. Derubeis regarding Inter Punch’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Inter Punch was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Derubeis pled guilty to the charge, Inter Punch was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
