Steward's Report
Sunrise To Dusk – Late scratching at 13:31 due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Ms. Dawn Johnston was fined $100. Update 19.10.2022: Following a review of the reported weight of Sunrise To Dusk, it was confirmed that Sunrise To Dusk was incorrectly scratched by Stewards for weight variation. Sunrise To Dusk was eligible for a weight variance of up to 2.0kg. Stewards rescinded the $100 fine imposed and an internal review will be conducted into the procedures followed resulting in the incorrect scratching.
Ohana Casboult was slow to begin.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Shane Jack regarding the racing manners of My Girl Whizbang in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Jack, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
