Steward's Report
Stewards held the All Clear to determine whether Quenara Bale had its chances in this race materially prejudiced, due to a bird (plover) checking Quenara Bale soon after the start and causing this greyhound only; to lose several lengths. After reviewing all available footage and having their own observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that Quenara Bale's chances in the race were materially prejudiced by this occurence. As such, in accordance with GAR 110 (2) (b), the Stewards declared Quenara Bale a non–starter. All bets on Quenara Bale are to be refunded. The weight recorded for Quenara Bale is void and does not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhound’s next start.
Quenara Bale checked soon after the start and lost ground, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
