Steward's Report
Golden Chopstick was quick to begin. Off The Cuff was slow to begin.
Crystal Edition contacted the running rail at the 250m, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Slingshot Woody contacted the running rail approaching the 250m, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a toe injury to the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.
Spartan's Fury underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have multiple abrasions and a left hock injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Jennifer Gill regarding the racing manners of Xavier in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Ms. Gill, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
