Steward's Report
Kansas Turnpike, Unique Venom and All Square were slow to begin.
Power Elect, Mr. Kansas, Kansas Turnpike and Destiny Shaker collided soon after the start checking Power Elect and Kansas Turnpike. Fiveway Arandt checked off Destiny Shaker approaching the first turn. Mr. Kansas and Kansas Turnpike collided approaching the first turn . Mr. Kansas raced wide on the first turn checking Kansas Turnpike. Mini Mitch galloped on the heels of All Square on the first turn checking All Square and Power Elect and severely checking Mini Mitch, Unique Venom, Fiveway Arandt and Mr. Kansas, causing Mr. Kansas to fall and Fiveway Arandt to stumble and tail off as a result. Power Elect and All Square collided on the home turn.
Fiveway Arandt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the pelvis and pain in both hind legs. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr. Kansas was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right scapula. A 30 day stand down period was imposed.
