Steward's Report
Spark Out and Ensemble were quick to begin.
Spark Out underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. M. Mallia regarding Spark Out’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Spark Out was charged with marring. Ms. Mallia pled guilty to the charge, Spark Out was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mumbo Cash underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. A. Karabitsakos regarding Mumbo Cash’s performance and racing manners in the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr Karabitsaskos, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Mumbo Cash unsatisfactory. Mumbo Cash must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
