Aristotle Bale was a late scratching at 2:27PM on Veterinary advice (GAR 37). Stewards will required a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.
Quiver Bale was slow to begin. Volksjager Blue and Pat The Baker collided soon after the start. Pat The Baker checked off Pepper Fozz on the first turn, checking Volksjager Blue. Aeroplane Cindy and Pepper Fozz collided in the back straight. Stunning View, Pepper Fozz and Aeroplane Cindy collided on the second turn, checking Pepper Fozz and Aeroplane Cindy, and severely checking Pat The Baker and Quiver Bale.
Pat The Baker was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sore shoulders and both groin sides. A seven-day stand down period was imposed.
