Plum Star and Cadence Bale were slow to begin. Plum Star, Elay Galaxy, Reiko Bale and Abdul collided on the first turn, checking Plum Star and Ice Contractor, and severely checking Elay Galaxy and Abdul. Cadence Bale contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Plum Star checked off Ice Contractor approaching the home turn.
Cadence Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sore left shoulder. A three-day stand down period was imposed.
