Call Me Hank was slow to begin.
Bally Sleek, Code Breaker, Dyna Chaser and Call Me Hank collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Chaser and Code Breaker. Call Me Hank and Bally Sleek collided several times on the first turn checking Bally Sleek. Kuranda Lass checked off Paddy Cambaz approaching the home turn. Call Me Hank and Dyna Chaser collided approaching the home turn. Paddy Cambaz and College Queen collided approaching the home turn checking Code Breaker. Bally Sleek and Paddy Cambaz collided on the home turn checking Bally Sleek and Code Breaker and severely checking Paddy Cambaz which faltered as a result. Dyna Chaser and Baumgartner collided approaching the winning post.
Paddy Cambaz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanised.
