Stewards charged Miss Teuila Shields, handler of Full Day, with a breach of GAR 46(2) for her failure to appear at the kennels within 5 minutes of the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for this event.  Miss Shields pleaded guilty and was found guilty and fined $100, wholly suspended for a period of 6 months. When assessing penalty Stewards took into account Miss Shields' honesty, experience as a handler and excellent record in relation to this rule. 

Smart Strike and Proven Trax were slow to begin.  Ruby's Entity and Smart Strike collided soon after the start.  Break Your Heart and Proven Trax collided soon after the start, checking Break Your Heart.  Smart Strike and Proven Trax collided soon after the start.  In Canada and Blingsteen collided soon after the start, checking In Canada.  In Canada and Ruby's Entity collided at the 300m mark.  Proven Trax checked off Miss Latoya at the 250m mark.  Marty McFly and Miss Latoya collided at the 100m mark.

Gotham's Hero underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to compete.

Black Eyed Papa, Sanz Gold, Danyo's Slappy and That's Nick collided soon after the start, checking Sanz Gold, Danyo's Slappy and That's Nick.  Gotham's Hero and Proven Glady collided several times from the 300m mark until the 150m mark.  Fear Me Roar and Corduroy Lass collided at the 150m mark, and again at the 100m mark.  Gotham's Hero and Proven Glady collided at the 100m mark, checking Gotham's Hero.  Corduroy Lass checked off Fear Me Roar at the 50m mark.  Black Eyed Papa raced wide for the duration of the event.

Spider Strike was slow to begin.  Usain's Hand and Pretty Crazy collided soon after the start.  Shrek's Fantasy and Bluie Munro collided soon after the start, checking Bluie Munro.  Alex's Entity crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Pretty Crazy and Dr. Lance collided at the 250m mark, checking Dr. Lance.

Stewards spoke to Douglas Burge, trainer of Alvarez and reminded him of his responsibility to ensure that any application in regards to bandage endorsements are made at kennelling (GAR 35(3)).

Crazy Apple, Fiery Ann and Alvarez were slow to begin.  Which Arandt crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Crowdza Chanting, checking Which Arandt, Crowdza Chanting and Fiery Ann.  Fiery Ann and Cool Maxine collided at the 150m mark, and again at the 50m mark.  Crazy Apple and Crowdza Chanting collided at the 50m mark.

Seeya Saturday and Little Mantra collided soon after the start, checking Little Mantra.  Our Arandt, Hi Laddie, Seeya Saturday and Thatcher collided at the 300m mark, checking Thatcher and Seeya Saturday and severely checking Hi Laddie.  Seeya Saturday crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark.  Knocka Less and Our Arandt collided approaching the 250m mark, checking Our Arandt.  Little Mantra faltered and fell at the 200m mark, checking Hi Laddie.

Little Mantra was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a suspected fracture (hairline) to the right shoulder and general bruising, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Hi Laddie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained lower back soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Pauline Bailey, trainer of Peregrine Stealth, redeclared a new weight of 34.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Peregrine Stealth last raced at 32.4kg. 

Natalie Perkins, trainer of Byonic Bluey, redeclared a new weight of 32.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Byonic Bluey last raced at 30.6kg.

Byonic Bluey was slow to begin.  Broon Hilda and Byonic Bluey collided soon after the start.  Broon Hilda galloped on the heels of Splitting Cobra at the 300m mark.  Peregrin Stealth and Splitting Cobra collided at the 250m mark.  Brooklyn's Ace checked off Byonic Bluey at the 200m mark.  Peregrin Stealth checked off Lexton Gold approaching the winning post.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Splitting Cobra became dislodged during the event.

Lilly's Hand, For The Battlers and Garaole collided soon after the start.  Lilly's Hand crossed to the outside at the 300m mark, checking  For The Battlers.  Bizzee Being Me and Garaole collided at the 250m mark, checking Bizzee Being Me and Indianna Belle.

Neville King, trainer of Sanzman, redeclared a new weight of 31.2kg in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sanzman last raced at 32.8kg.

Track curator Mr Lee Rowe advised Stewards that the track was deep harrowed on Friday 15 August.

Revetted greyhound: Black Odin was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kenneling and was cleared to race.

Our Wilfred and Gobble Gobble collided soon after the start.   There For Me, Lil' Bit Suna, Take A Peek and Wolfbane McCabe collided at the 250m mark, checking Lil' Bit Suna and Take A Peek.  There For Me and Our Wilfred collided at the 200m mark, checking both greyhounds.

Satisfactory Whelping Trial - White Grease trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 29.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 2. The time of the trial was 17.33, the greyhound won by 1 3/4L .  White Grease was cleared.
