Jetty Road was slow to begin. Jetty Road checked off Full Of Dee soon after the start. Grasshopper checked off Zenome Bale soon after the start. Full Of Dee and Zenome Bale collided approaching the first turn. Sutton Club and Wai Nui Lea collided on the first turn, checking Wai Nui Lea; causing Wai Nui Lea to race wide. Zenome Bale checked off Full Of Dee on the first turn, checking Grasshopper and Jetty Road.
Full Of Dee was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
