Steward's Report
Stephen Bull, trainer of Grand Jet redeclared a new weight of 33.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39 (2). Grand Jet last raced at 31.9kg.
Little Bit More and Good Odds Devil were slow to begin. Zappening, Suspicious Tessa and Little Bit More collided approaching the first turn, checking Little Bit More. Grand Jet, Dyna Arclight and Fight Club collided on the first turn, checking Grand Jet. Fight Club checked off Grand Jet on the home turn. Fight Club and Suspicious Tessa collided entering the home straight, checking Suspicious Tessa. Elite Empire eased approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Clark the trainer of the greyhound Elite Empire. Elite Empire was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a fourteen day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Elite Empire with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
