Steward's Report
Billie's Revenge and Miss Skyline were slow to begin. Judy's My Name crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Cool Shirly. Cool Shirly checked off Miss Skyline approaching the first turn. Blue Tartan and Judy's My Name collided approaching the home turn checking Judy's My Name and Billie's Revenge. Judy's My Name and Miss Geeves collided in the home straight checking Miss Geeves.
Stewards spoke to Mr K Smale the trainer of Cool Shirly regarding the greyhounds performance in tonights event. Mr Smale stated that Cool Shirly was first up from a spell today and in his opinion will get fitter with racing. He added the greyhound was best suited to Tier 3 racing and felt there was some confusion with his nomination to place him in a Grade 5 event. Stewards strongly advised Mr Smale to reconsider nominating for such races in future and to place the greyhound in races more suitable. Stewards noted Cool Shirly suffered interference early in the race and placed a warning against the greyhounds performance.
Cool Shirly was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
