Mr. M. McGuire, trainer of Heatho's Boy redeclared a new weight of 33.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Heatho's Boy last raced at 34.9kgs.
Heatho's Boy and Bazzagrey were slow to begin.
Bull Bar Masie checked off Faint Glimpse approaching the first turn. Faint Glimpse, Riverdale Arrow and Rainbow Rebel collided approaching the home turn checking Riverdale Arrow and causing Rainbow Rebel to fall. Heatho's Boy raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight. Faint Glimpse and Riverdale Arrow collided in the home straight checking Riverdale Arrow. Counting Stars and Eumeralla Dessy collided approaching the winning post checking Counting Stars.
Rainbow Rebel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
