Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Mepunga Roz upon arrival at the course.
Kanji War was quick to begin. Lektra Tinsel was slow to begin.
Kanji War underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right quadriceps injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Thomas Dailly regarding the racing manners of Kanji War on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr Dailly, viewing all available angles of the race footage and having their own observations, it was apparent that the crucial vision of the racing incident was almost entirely obstructed by a fixed infrastructure object located on the inside the track. As such, no further action was taken.
A post–race sample was taken from Kanji War – the winner of the event.
Maureen Bloom was issued a warning under GAR 156 (f) (negligence) in that she negligently failed to catch Soda Helen at the conclusion of the race.
