Steward's Report
Oh Suzie faltered at the 250m mark and tailed off, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand-down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Brent Merton regarding the performance of Oh Suzie and the injury sustained in this event. Mr. Merton stated that the injury was re-occurring. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Right Above It faltered at the 200m mark and lost considerable ground, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left back muscle and left tensor fascia lata muscle. A 60 day stand-down period was imposed.
