Steward's Report

A pre–race sample was taken from Market Moves.

Schooner Glass was quick to begin. Lovely Days and Tom Tom were slow to begin.

Lovely Days (faltered and lost ground approaching the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left groin injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Brent Merton regarding Lovely Days racing manners approaching the first turn into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Lovely Days was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Brent Merton pleaded guilty to the charge. Lovely Days was found guilty and  must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
