Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Uncle's Girl on 29 April 2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
An out of competition sample was taken from Smokin' Grille on 3 May 2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
A pre-race sample was taken from Uncle's Girl.
Uncle's Girl visibly eased approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Murray Collyer regarding the greyhound's racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Uncle's Girl was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Collyer pleaded guilty to the charge. Uncle's Girl was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Neirbo underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have an abrasion right side face below the eye . No stand down period was imposed.
