Steward's Report
A pre–race sample was unable to be obtained from Big Bang Banjo a post–race sample was subsequently taken.
Stewards directed that all greyhounds be removed from the boxes after the lure failed to operate for this event when the green light was activated. All handlers declined a veterinary examination on offer by Stewards and the greyhounds were reboxed for a second attempt. Following th running ofthe event, Stewards viewed all available video footage to ascertain that no greyhound was materially affected and subsequently sounded the "all clear" on the placings 4-8-6-7. Stewards spoke to the Lure Driver regarding this matter and told Stewards that following Race 1 he turned off the lure control for the safety and security of the lure, however, failed to reactivate the control prior to this Event. Stewards reminded the Lure Driver of his responsibilities.
Peregrine Flyer was quick to begin. Big Bang Banjo was slow to begin.
