Steward's Report
Woodleigh Bluey and Woodside Robber was slow to begin.
Woodleigh Bluey visibly eased on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 5, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Gregory Graham regarding Woodleigh Bluey’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Woodleigh Bluey was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Gregory Graham pleaded guilty to the charge, Woodleigh Bluey was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Trapezoid Girl shifted out on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Arend Gringhuis regarding the racing manners of Trapezoid Girl on the home turn. After hearing submissions from Arend Gringhuis, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
Simba's Queen turned it's head outwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Sean Lithgow regarding Simba's Queen’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Simba's Queen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Sean Lithgow pleaded guilty to the charge, Simba's Queen was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
