Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Quest For Luck on 22 December 2022 pursuant to GAR 139.
Perfect Stranger was slow to begin.
Laid Back was severely checked by Go Gizmo Go entering the home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Quest For Luck underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Leslie Kenyon regarding Quest For Luck's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Quest For Luck was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Kenyon pled guilty to the charge, Quest For Luck was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Quest For Luck – the winner of the event.
