Steward's Report
Trainer, Graeme Jose was issued with a warning under GAR156(f) for negligence, after the greyhound Aston Salma was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.
Club Officials were reminded of their responsibilities after the greyhound Aston Salma was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration and remediation.
Boo Boo Billy, One's Obsession and Mr. Beets were quick to begin. Eskimo Roger was slow to begin.
Boo Boo Billy underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg hamstrings and spike wound injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. Brett Mackie regarding the racing manners of Boo Boo Billy approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Mackie, viewing the available race footage, and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
A post–race sample was taken from Zella Bale – the winner of the event.
