Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Ocean Girl on 19/04/2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
Ocean Girl was quick to begin. Banderillero was slow to begin.
Banderillero checked off Mighty Lucifer approaching the home turn and collided with No More Jobs, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Wayne Boreland regarding the racing manners of Banderillero in the home turn. After hearing submissions from Mr Boreland, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
There was no back straight head on vision for this event.
