Steward's Report
Mr Matthew Clark was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound, Madalia Patch pursuant to GAR 88.
Madalia Patch and Laquita Star were slow to begin.
Pacific Prayer fell shortly after the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Madalia Patch underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Mr. Matthew Clark declined the option to have the greyhound re–vetted. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Clark regarding Madalia Patch's racing manners on both the first turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Madalia Patch was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Clark pled guilty to the charge, Madalia Patch was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
