Image Of Dad - turned its head outwards in the back straight  underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have gracillis injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. G. Smith regarding Image Of Dad’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Image Of Dad was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Smith pled guilty to the charge, Image Of Dad was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Kevin Tirchett regarding Just Shout’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Just Shout was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Tirchett pled guilty to the charge, Just Shout was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Miss Daisy Lee and Latham Bale were quick to begin. Cruising Cloe was slow to begin. 

Black Tuxedo, Snowy's Entity and Jimmy The Judge raced wide in the home straight.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes due to Menangle race seven running behind schedule.

Snowy's Brother underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a seizure. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Snowy's Brother is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a satisfactory trial is completed, pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42 (3) Snowy's Brother, is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.
