Steward's Report
King Kaboom – New declared weight of 29.3kg, last raced at 28.2kg.
Superior Thunder was slow to begin.
Hudson River visibly eased, turned it's head outwards and shifted out approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Johnson regarding Hudson River’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Hudson River was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Johnson pled guilty to the charge, Hudson River was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
