Steward's Report
A sample was taken from Big Alfie upon arrival at the course.
A pre-race sample was taken from Poison Sky.
Doonside Shadow was quick to begin. Big Alfie was slow to begin.
Curly Fries underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right foreleg toe. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Peter Byrne regarding the behaviour of Curly Fries in pulling up before the return gate and not entering the catching pen. The Stewards hold concerns that this poses an unnecessary safety issue for Curly Fries, for other greyhounds in the race and staff that triage these types of incidents. After considering submissions from Mr Byrne, Curly Fries has been placed on a conditional satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 129.
