Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Stout.
Hooroo Tears was quick to begin.
Moraine Zorro faltered and subsequently tailed off in the front straight, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the home straight and deemed it suitable for racing.
Mr. Michael Carlstrom was issued with a reminder of responsibilities under GAR156(f) for negligence following an incident in the catching pen shortly after the conclusion of this event. Stewards reminded Mr. Carlstrom to exercise more care whilst catching greyhounds in the pen and to be aware of his surroundings at all times, so as to avoid the reoccurrence of such instances.
